How to Apply Pocket Salon One Step Gel

Step 1: Prep Your Nails

• Wash and dry your hands.
• Gently push back cuticles.
• Lightly buff the nail surface to remove shine.
• Clean the nail with an alcohol wipe or nail cleanser to remove dust and oils.

Proper nail prep is the key to long-lasting wear.

Step 2: Apply the Gel

Apply a thin, even coat of Pocket Salon One Step Gel.

Avoid getting the gel on your skin or cuticles.

Step 3: Cure

Cure under the Pocket Salon UV/LED Lamp.

• 60 seconds (standard cure)
• 90 seconds for darker shades or a thicker second coat

Step 4: Apply a Second Coat (Recommended)

For richer color, better coverage, and improved durability, apply a second thin coat and cure again.

We recommend two thin coats for the best salon-quality finish.

Step 5: Finish

Your manicure is ready!

No primer, base coat, or top coat is required.

For extra shine and even longer wear, you may apply a top coat if desired.

How to remove your One Step Gel ? 

If you’re ready for a new color, there are several ways to remove your gel safely:

Option 1: Acetone Soak-Off (Recommended)

• Lightly buff the nail surface.
• Soak a cotton pad with acetone and place it on the nail.
• Wrap with foil for 10–15 minutes.
• Gently remove the softened gel with a cuticle pusher.

Option 2: Nail File Removal

• Carefully file away the gel using a nail file or buffer.

Option 3: E-File Removal

• An electric nail drill can also be used to remove the gel quickly and efficiently.

Important

Please do not peel or pick off the gel, as this may damage the natural nail.

After removal, we recommend applying cuticle oil to keep your nails healthy and hydrated. ✨

To help the gel last 2+ weeks, please make sure to:

• Buff the nail surface first
• Clean nails with an alcohol wipe to remove oil and dust
• Apply thin coats only
• Cure for at least 60 seconds under a UV/LED lamp
• Cap the free edge of the nail

Our One Step Gel is designed to be used without a base coat or top coat. When applied correctly, it can last 2 weeks or longer.
For customers who want extra durability, an additional top coat can be applied for extra protection against daily wear and chipping, although it is not required.
